Reality Winner is a hero to some and at best a question mark to others. She clearly did a brave thing, whether or not you think she was heroic. Either way, her story is compelling, and that compelling story is at the center of Tina Satter’s play and now HBO series. And it leads a post-Succession, post-Barry TV suggestion universe on this Memorial Day.

Reality [HBO, 10p]
It girl Sydney Sweeney stars as Reality Winner in this new biopic on Max. The play-turned-movie will be informative for me because i don’t know a lot about her story. Also it should cement Sweeney’s status as a mega star.

The Curious Case of Natalia Grace [ID, 9p]
Investigation Discovery offers “bombshell interviews” and “unprecedented access” into the adopted family of Natalia Barnett, who might have been a six-year-old with a growth disorder and hearing and vision problems or a murderous adult, like Orphan.

The Rising/Barons [The CW, 8p/9p]
The CW imports a pair of new series and I could not decide which to use. At 8pm, it’s a UK revenge-from-the-grave thriller, and an hour later, we’ve got an Australian drama about 1970s surfers. Both look promising.
