It’s one of those Saturdays where there isn’t much, not even an Into the Dark with an April Fools Day theme, but there is Lifetime and Hallmark, as well as a great guest star on that live show that has been an institution on intermittent Saturday nights since 1975.
Saturday Night Live [NBC, 11:30p]
Tied with Paul F. Tompkins, in my mind, for most funny human in America, Qunta Brunson is a natural choice for host. Before founding the best pure sitcom in ages in Abbott Elementary, she was a founding member of the hilarious sketch show Black Lady Sketch Show. And before that she honed her skills as Buzzfeed‘s funny member.
BUT, WAIT, THERE’S MORE (WELL NOT MUCH REALLY):
- The rest of what we got is the LHV (Lifetime-Hallmark Vortex). Hallmark brings us Love in the Maldives (it’s paranoid). It’s about a boy and girl meeting cutely and finding love, presumably in the Maldives. Lifetime makes it hard to tell if they are part of an April Fools joke as the title of their newest movie is just so much self-parody. Stalked by Her Past stars Meta Golding as a Hollywood movie star who is… do I even have to say?
