Are you ready for some courtroom drama?! Also fooball. And a new Adult Swim taking its name from a modern acronym.
Accused [Fox, 9p]
What could be an ordinary network courtroom series becomes much more exciting when you see its cast a stunning collection of character actors. We’ve got Michael Chiklis, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Baron Vaughn, Rhea Perlman, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, and the ultimate OG CA Margo Martindale.
YOLO: Silver Destiny [Adult Swim, 12a]
One’s a gardener, ones’ a dark empress. Both are seeking their destiny. Hence the title (it’s also a sequel to YOLO: Crystal Fantasy). In the spirit of YOLO, do you want to spend valuable time with this show? Well it’s Adult Swim and they have a pretty good track record, so I’ll give it at least a chance–an hour, maybe?
BUT, WAIT, THERE’S MORE:
- It’s the second episode of HBO’s video game The Last of Us and as you can see above, things are going just peachy in the post-apocalypse. Joel and Ellie (Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey) were last seen ducking into a government facility seeking safety. They find it and everything is swell for the rest of the series.
- If you love a beardy Bryan Cranston and relentless misery, congratulations as Your Honor‘s second season also hits episode two, this one on Showtime. On it, Justice Michael Desiato will… oh, we just can’t.
- Over in the L-HV (Lifetime-Hallmark Vortex), we’ve found two offerings. The first comes from honorary upbeat vortex member UP with The Clue to Love, so thank you, UP, for solving that ancent mystery. Good ol’ Lifetime goes in a different direction with The Plot to Kill Mother.
