It’s Saturday so it’s quiet, but there is laughter–albeit with a show put on by one of the more polarizing comedians. We haven’t polled our scholarly crew, but at least a couple of us are still fans.

BRAD’S PICK:
Amy Schumer’s Parental Advisory [Netflix]
Comedy specials from the Netflix Is A Joke festival continue to drop. Up next is one from Amy Schumer. Amy hosts a group of her favorite comedians including Ray Funches and Rachel Feinstein. Netflix proves once again why it’s the go to for stand up comedy.
BUT, WAIT, THERE’S MORE:

- If you’re feeling dark, the new A&E true crime series First Blood examines the initial kills of serial killers. Fun.
- The same network also returns with one of its realest reality true crimers as the emergency call collection Panic 9-1-1 returns.
- It would not be Saturday without new movies from Hallmark and Lifetime. The former features a romantic drama (shocker): Caribbean Summer pairs Heather Hemmens and Ser’Darius Blain as they hook up in paradise–she’s a traveler, he’s a local. Lifetime of course goes for the creepier angles of romance with Dirty Little Secret.
