In 1979, the nuclear power movement suffered a major setback as a plant just miles away from New York City heard the sirens that were long feared. While it could have been much worse, cancer rates did rise nearby and the whole mess took almost 15 years and a billion dollars to clean up. Tonight, a docu-series starts looking into what caused it and all that has happened since. Also as it’s the 4th (and may the day be with you, etc.), Disney has a big night for nerdery and wars that take place in the stars of two different universes featuring a featurette and a season finale.

KATHERINE’S PICK:
Meltdown: Three Mile Island [Netflix]
Netflix’s fourt-part docuseries examines the “near catastrophe” at Three Mile Island through its chief engineer and whistleblower Richard Parks. The series appears to provide insight on the Pennsylvania community and reenactments, as well.
BRAD’S PICK:
Disney Gallery: The Book of Boba Fett [Disney+]
May the 4th be with you! To celebrate Star Wars Day, Disney Plus has added The Book of Boba Fett to its custom “making of” series. Like most things Star Wars, this series was polarizing, but regardless of your feelings on the show, the interviews with the likes of Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez and Jon Favreau are enlightening. Want to see Robert R and Temuera Morrison jam on a blues tune? This is as close ask your gonna get! Pairs well with the finale of Moon Knight (see below)!’
JASON’S PICK:
The Conners [ABC, 9p]
Darlene is as a crossroads on the show that once was Roseanne. As she has always been the show’s most interesting character–even back in the 1980s–it’s a worthwhile episode to peep in on even if you have not been regularly keeping up with the saga of this long-running television family.
BUT, WAIT, THERE’S MORE:

- We get the final clash between the gods and avatars (and Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke) as we reach the endgame of the latest MCU mini-series, Moon Knight, on Disney+.
