An affable cook and a killer fog star in our two favorite suggestions for an average Saturday!

KATHERINE’S PICK:
Be My Guest with Ina Garten [Discovery+]
The woman I pretend it my aunt, Ina Garten, launches a new series starring her famous friends (like Katie Couric) who come over “for a day of conversation, connection, food and fun visits to some of her favorite local spots.” I can’t believe she didn’t invite me.
BRAD’S PICK:
The Pact [The Roku Channel]
A fog that drives people crazy. A family stretched to the breaking point in a nightmare post apocalyptic world. The search for a cure. It’s probably safe to say that Roku’s new series has a lot to say about our current world as it continues to deal with pandemics and assaults on democracies all over the planet. If this show is done well it will show why genre fiction is important.
BUT, WAIT, THERE’S MORE:

- Jeff Young is the face of Denver’s Planned Pethood organization and has gained national fame with his Animal Planet series Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet which heads into its eighth season today.
- Discovery+, in addition to the above mentioned Ina Gartner series, debuts The Cabins which boasts a plot we’d be surprised if anyone guessed today. Six “thirsty” (their words) singles are thrust into a cabin where they must live together (paired off into three groups of two) for a period of time.
- Saturday’s the prime day for TV watchers who long to be trapped in the Lifetime-Hallmark Vortex. Each of the two namesake networks release new movies today. Lifetime’s The Lost Girls features a young girl who escapes from a drug trafficking ring determined to hunt down its leaders and free her friends. Hallmark offers A Second Chance at Love, in which Eriq LaSalle and Gloria Reuben are a pair of late-50somethings who find themselves parent trapped by their adult children.
