It’s quiet, even for Saturday night of programming, but our two recs feature musicians who play it loud (comma mother?). We’ve also got the usual selection of reality shows and one new movie each from Lifetime and Hallmark.

JASON’S PICK:
Rich & Shameless [TNT, 11p]
While I’ve seen this anthology billed as a “true-crime” series, it’s really closer to a more grimy version of that Robin Leach-voiced show from the ’80s: Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous. Tonight they give a more stripped down version of the story behind the relationship/famous sex tape between Motley Crue rocker Tommy Lee and actress/model Pamela Anderson. Other stories on the “docket” include the weird disappearance/murder of NBA’er Bison Dele and a profile of Girls Gone Wild.
BRAD’S PICK:
Whitesnake: Story of Their Songs [Reelz, 8p]
Here I(?) go again on our own! Ever wanted to know the story behind Whitesnake’s biggest hits? Of course you do! And now thanks to Reelz you can. Whitesnake story of their songs will be trip down memory lane to my junior high years. Does that age me? I don’t care, pass the popcorn. If you don’t do it for David Coverdale, do it in memory of car hood model Tawny Kitaen, who made their chart-topping 1987 hit’s video iconic.
BUT, WAIT, THERE’S MORE:

- Tonight’s the only day of all-star celebrations of the four major U.S. sports that can be remotely worth watching, NBA All-Star Saturday. Watch the 3-point competition and the Slam Dunk Contest, both featuring NBA stars–including the best name in the league right now Fred VanVleet–on TNT.
- Here comes the Mirror Chef–well Anna Olsen anyway. It’s a slow day, but one of the most exciting prospects of the night is Olsen giving the seven remaining amateurs tips on how to do a mirror glaze on The CW’s Great Chocolate Showdown.
- Lifetime and Hallmark both roll out new movies and each very much fit the brand of their respective networks. Lifetime unveils their latest stalker Caught in His Web as a pair of teens team up with a good cop to beat a cyberbully named Blake. Meanwhile, on Hallmark, a bride-to-be tries to find out if her aisle accessory is truly a charmed marriageable hunk magnet in The Wedding Veil Legacy.
