So here we are. It’s the first round where you can vote for every show still in our tournament in one handy place. Recency bias is not just a river in Egypt as 11 of the shows aired episodes within the last decade, while just one show started before 1989–although two of our top 16 began that year and one is still running to this day. We’ve got misfit DJs, Brooklyn cops, angels battling demons with the fate of everyone in the universe in the balance, four New Yorkers who love to complain about small stuff (some would say nothing), the writers and actors of a fictional talk show, the writers and actors of a fictional sketch show, a real sketch show that ended when the creator decided it was doing more harm than good, the Greendale Community College 7, the Gang, the staffs of the Pawnee, Indiana, Parks Dept. and Scranton’s Dunder-Mifflin Paper Factory, a faux news show that keeps it more real than the real ones, the wealthy family that lost everything and the one son who had to keep them together, another wealthy family who lost everything and had to move to a small town they bought on a lark, a poor family with the seaside burger joint, and the sometimes poor, sometimes rich family that has been scrambling to jump on the same couch for over 30 years.
