There’s plenty out this weekend. In theaters, there’s the Charlie’s Angels reboot (collectively, we say, “Oooh..that’s why Kristen Stewart hosted SNL?”), documentaries, and an interesting Indian drama. Netflix has programs for the whole family, though it’s focus will be on the third season of The Crown.

White Snake is a Chinese animated film, inspired by the traditional Chinese fable Legend of the White Snake

Charlie’s Angels is the reboot that I honestly do not think we need (sorry, Fiona!) even if it’s directed by Elizabeth Banks, who plays Bosley.

Ford v. Ferrari stars Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby, an American automotive designer and engineer, and Christian Bale as Ken Miles, a British World War II veteran and a professional race car driver. Henry Ford II, mad at being rebuffed, makes a man race his car, and then like it wins or something, and we all chant, USA! USA! USA!

Waves is a drama starring Sterling K. Brown as a domineering father. I’d like a word with his agent.

Recorder: The Marion Stokes Project is a documentary about a woman who recorded the news every night.

The Good Liar is a thriller starring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellan. McKellen is a seasoned conman who tries to steal a widow’s fortune.

Radioflash is a sci-fi-drama about a teen helping her family navigate the world after a nuclear disaster.

Scandalous is a documentary about The National Enquirer and tells the story of “the sensational true story of the most infamous tabloid in US history, a wild, probing look at how one newspaper’s prescient grasp of its’ readers darkest curiosities led it to massive profits and influence.”

The Warrior Queen of Jhansi is an Indian period drama about the 1857 Indian Rebellion against the British East India Company.

The Report stars Adam Driver, Annette Bening, Ted Levine, Michael C. Hall, Tim Blake Nelson, Corey Stoll, Maura Tierney, and Jon Hamm. It follows the investigation into the CIA’s post 9/11 Detention and Interrogation Program.
