What To Watch: 09/14/2019

Country music innovators old and new give a preview of Ken Burns’ latest in-(super-deep)-depth doc, another pop culture icon is made weirdly more fun by those classic blocks, and we watch salmon spawn. It’s just another Saturday the 14th… Richard Benjamin and Paula Prentiss would be proud.

KATHERINE’S PICK:
Country Music: Live at the Ryman [PBS, 8p]
Dierks Bentley, Rosanne Cash, Rhiannon Giddens, Vince Gill, Kathy Mattea, Marty Stuart, and Dwight Yoakam perform in conjunction with Ken Burns’s series, Country Music (premiering tomorrow).

BRAD’S PICK:
LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar [Nickelodeon, 11:30a]
Chances are if you are reading this you are an adult, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the hijinks. Heck.. if you have kids they will probably want to watch this. Don’t worry, you’ll laugh too.

JASON’S PICK:
Planet Earth: Nature’s Great Events [BBC, 9p]
Life can be rough, and sometimes you just need to watch salmon migrate. Thankfully, BBC’s got yr back.
