Box Office Weekend Friday, September 6th, 2019

It’s September! It’s fall, unless you’re in NYC, in which case this is our last weekend with open beaches and you can pry summer from my cold dead hands. In any case, it’s week-by-week for trailers again, and you’ll find them all below the fold.

Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice is a documentary about Linda Ronstadt, whose voice dominated the airwaves for two decades.

Chhichhore is a Hindi-language horror film. But a fun one?

Edie is a British drama about an octogenarian who finally follows her dream of mountaineering!

Ms. Purple: “Two estranged Korean-American siblings reconnect as their father’s life draws to an end.”

I’m Leaving Now is a drama: an undocumented man decides to return to Mexico.

Dauntless: The Battle of Midway is a war drama, “focusing on the decisive battle between the Japanese and the Americans at the Midway Islands in 1942.”

Hex: “During the English Civil War, two opposing soldiers find themselves trapped in a forest controlled by a Witch.”

Satanic Panic is a horror comedy.

It Chapter Two is the 167-minute sequel to 2017’s It. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise; the Losers Club will return to Derry as adults and are portrayed by James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, and Jay Ryan.

In theaters Wednesday, September 11th, 2019:

Chained for Life follows a beautiful actress as she struggles to connect with her disfigured co-star. Hm.
