Sunday’s all about hope, and preaching and all that’s righteous — at least on tonight’s TV.
JASON’S PICK:
The Righteous Gemstones [HBO, 9p]
The writers behind Danny McBride’s biggest successes go to his well once more, and this time pairs him with John Goodman and Adam Devine as a family of televangelists, so let the cringefest begin!
BRAD’S PICK:
Preacher [AMC, 10p]
Tulip raids Masada to try and free what’s left of Cassidy (guy’s had a hard season), while Jesse’s mission in Australia may be over before it begins. This final season is one hell of a ride.
KATHERINE’S PICK:
When Hope Calls [Hallmark, 11p]
When Hope Calls, a When Calls The Heart spinoff, will premiere on Hallmark’s streaming site Hallmark Movies Now. Hallmark, following the lead of CBS, is putting original programming on its streaming-only platform. (And this is wildly unfair.) Tonight Hallmark will air a preview of its new program (which again, you cannot watch on network TV!), to entice you to watch on its streaming network.
