We had sworn off basketball, but then spurred on by the excitement of our own March Madness (in whose finals you can vote today) and the fact Duke, North Carolina, and Kentucky are all long gone, we’re back for the Finals. There’s also time-traveling superheroes and ultra-competitive singers vying for the love of John, Adam, Blake and Kelly.
NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament: Finals [CBS, 9p]
Gotta hand Texas Tech mad respect as their impossibly smothering defense (they held powerhouse Michigan under 50 pts, and my alma mater and top 5 season-long in scoring Buffalo under 60) has taken them to the finals to face last year’s laughingstock Virginia, whose last minute heroics may have allowed us all to forget last year when the Cavaliers were the first top seed EVER to lose to a 16 seed (UMBC). We lovers of the underdog and Cinderellas did not expect to be re-invested in college basketball, yet here we are.
DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow [The CW, 8p]
The legends go back so far they are in Jason’s birth year. There’s as much promise of bad fashion as super heroism in tonight’s episode.
The Voice [NBC, 8p]
The battles continue with round three. The coaches rely on advice from music industry powerhouses Charlie Puth, Kelsea Ballerini, Brooks + Dunn and Khalid.
