Does Project Runway need its good guy who is a Gunn to survive? Will Harriet Buckley weather whatever the Secret City (not really a secret, it’s Canberra, Australia) throws at her post-jail? Will Grown-ish tackle another big button issue with grace and ease? Find out on the next episode of Screen Scholars: What To Watch (rip Katherine Helmond).
Secret City [Netflix]
Australia may be less corrupt than America at the moment, but there are still secrets to be discovered. You can follow the exploits of a muckraking reporter as she digs deep to uncover secrets in the halls of Australian power on the new season of Anna Torv’s show of betrayal and intrigue, now streaming on Netflix.
Grown-ish [Freeform, 8p]
Last week Zoey worked hard to overcome her (super unhealthy) jealousy of Luca. She seems to have realized that her passion lays more in styling than design. Meanwhile, Jazz and Sky think about sexing up their insta-presence to attract more fans and sponsorships. This week is all about consent! Looking forward to seeing them tackle yet another social issue with humor and tact.
Project Runway [Bravo, 10p]
It’s hard to fathom a Tim Gunn-less Project Runway, yet that’s where we are at; thankfully, his replacement at mentor is familiar (and also fierce) — 4th season champion (and frequent visitor) Christian Siriano. We get a sneak peek tonight at the 17th go around, which also features a new host in Karlie Kloss.
ALSO ON TAP TONIGHT:
- It’s been teased that one of the central characters of the CW’s Riverdale may (highlight, may) die, but many shows have hyped that possibility to no avail, and unfortunately, the most famous of shows to fake us out makes us infinitely sad as one of its stars died way too young in real life this week (rip Luke Perry — honestly, this week sucked).
- If you’ve ever wondered who would win a rap battle between cuddly-voiced comic Ron Funches and child-actress-turned-beauty-maven Raven-Symone, this week’s Drop The Mic on TNT. The undercard tracks sliiiiightly more logically (but infinitely more boring) as it’s a battle of boy band Joeys as NKOTB’s McIntyre takes on N’Sync’s Fatone.
- Our favorite Canadian faux newster returns with a few more deep dives to stave off the stupid Smarch weather on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee on TBS.
- Taped in the same city, but with much more wine throwing, Bravo frees The Real Housewives of New York City to roam about the airwaves tonight.
