What to Watch: 10/26/2018

Supernatural shenanigans abound tonight, including a new twist on a teenage witch, sexy psychics, and the return of the Great Pumpkin — this year he’ll be here, Linus promises, and we’re gonna wait with him, just after we kick this football his sister is holding.

JASON’S PICK:
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina [Netflix]
Originally intended to be a companion to Riverdale but moved to Netflix, and from the same realm of innocuous comic book characters turned disturbing. This ain’t Melissa Joan Hart’s Sabrina, and that’s intriguing.

BRAD’S PICK:
Midnight, Texas [NBC, 9p]
The second season starts with the arrival of healer Kai disrupting Midnight’s peace. How does Midnight, Texas separate itself from other supernatural dramas? Sexiness.

KATHERINE’S PICK:
It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown [ABC, 8p]
Let’s meet at the pumpkin patch during primetime. If we’ve been good all year, the Great Pumpkin will bring us candy!

  • As with all zombie shows, the real danger in Z Nation (on Syfy) is from humans with still functioning brains. Tonight, the hunt is on for a soldier who may be working with the “Talkers” (not to be confused with “Walkers”).
  • It’s been awhile since we checked in with Rachel Bloom and her unique musical romantic(?) comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend which is in its fourth and final season on The CW. Rebecca’s insanity is now focused on her job instead of Josh, who himself longs for a new girlfriend.
  • If you love the new Queer Eye (as much as our editor Fiona does — and Jason secretly does), but miss the original Fab Five, two of them have a new–ish show called Get A Room With Carson & Thom.
