Movies! There’s some new ones.

What Will People Say is about Pakistani-Norwegian teenage girl split between her “duties” as a good, Pakistani girl, and her desire to live like a normal Norwegian teenager. Ugh, my heart hurts already.

Path of Blood is a documentary about “Osama bin Laden’s underground army.”

Soorma is a Hindi sports drama about Sandeep Singh, a professional hockey player who was paralyzed in 2006 and made a comeback in 2008!

The Devil’s Doorway is a horror film. A priest investigates a “miraculous” event in a home for wayward women in Ireland only to find that like, the devil is there, or something. I don’t know. That’s what you get for locking up women in Ireland for not being pure enough, so fuck you, man.

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation brings back the Hotel Transylvania franchise, with Adam Sandler’s Dracula on a cruise ship with his family and the descendant of Van Helsing.

Skyscraper stars Dwayne Johnson as “a Former FBI agent and amputee” living in Hong Kong’s “tallest and safest skyscraper.” And we all know Titanic sank anyway, so needless to say, the movie turns into a crumble, fiery, action-packed, pro-America thriller.

Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot is a biographical drama starring Joaquin Phoenix as Portland artist John Callahan, who was paralyzed in a car accident as an indirect result of his alcoholism and becomes a cartoonist. (The film is adapted from his memoir.) Jonah Hill, Rooney Mara, and Jack Black star in the film, directed by Gus Van Sant.

Eighth Grade is written and directed by Bo Burnham. (It’s getting good reviews!) The film follows a girl during the last week of eighth grade and is said to be a heartfelt, honest look at middle school.

Today on Netflix:

How It Ends: “As a mysterious apocalypse causes the spread of misinformation and violence, a man and his estranged father-in-law race across a chaotic and fractured country to save his pregnant wife.”

Jim Jefferies: This Is Me Now

Sugar Rush: “Sugar Rush is the new, relentlessly fast-paced baking competition that challenges brilliant bakers to create sweet treats that look and taste amazing – all against the clock.”

The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants
And coming Sunday…

Bonusfamiljen: Season 2

Also The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale: Part 2, though Netflix hadn’t posted a trailer for Part 2 at press time.
