Yesterday saw the release of Ready Player One, directed by Stephen Spielberg and based on the 2011 novel by Ernest Cline. Set in the future, the world’s citizens live in virtual reality and are steeped in ‘80s culture.

The China Hustle is a documentary about Wall Street corruption.

Bad Samaritan is a thriller. A habitual burglar discovers his victim has abducted a woman.

Acrimony is a Tyler Perry film starrin Taraji P. Henson.

Finding Your Feet is a British comedy. A well-to-do woman moves in with her free-spirited sister when she learns her husband has been cheating on her.

Lean on Pete appears to be a touching horse drama. A young man learns to care for an aging horse while his father falls apart.

Love After Love is a drama about a family that gathers together as the patriarch slowly dies.

The Last Movie Star stars Burt Reynolds as an aged Hollywood star, and Chevy Chase, as his friend who cajoles him into fish-out-of-water adventures.

God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness is a testament that they will never end this series.

Gemini stars Lola Kirke, Zoë Kravitz, and John Cho. Shit goes south for a personal assistant when her boss takes up gunplay.

Outside In is a romance-drama from the Duplass Brothers.

All I Wish is a romantic comedy starring Sharon Stone.

On Netflix we see A Series of Unfortunate Events, First Match, Happy Anniversary, Rapture, Sofía Niño de Rivera: Selección natural, The Titan, Trailer Park Boys, and Trump: An American Dream.
