What to Watch: 11/27/2016

You’re right actors, we deserve those sorts of looks for our prolonged absence, but still recovering from a November that has brought us turkey hangovers — both of the Thanksgiving and President-elect variety — we’re back on a relatively quiet Sunday. We do have zombies, robots, and a sweet pre-Yuletide Hallmark treat.

Westworld [HBO, 9p]
The previews promise the show’s biggest reveal yet, and while trailers are there to put the best face forward. This good-if-not-yet-great action series has provided some stunning visuals, even when the twists have been unsurprising. It’s even fun just to stare at the Western landscape.

The Walking Dead [AMC, 10p]
Corrrrral!!! Can it be true?

Journey Back to Christmas [Hallmark, 8p]
A WWII nurse helps a modern day family (of which the patriarch is, of course, a cop) find the reason for the season in this time-travel fable from Hallmark. Was this a failed Dr. Who special?

  • A second season of Poldark comes to an end on PBS. We’ve heard good things, particularly from our collective mothers and fathers.
  • If you want to feel better about your family’s TG gathering, you can’t go wrong with Shameless where Monica returns.
