Comedian Glaser, known for playing unctuous jerks like Councilman Jamm of Parks & Recreation, let’s his gearhead freak flag fly. Opening day guests include unlikely gadget adherents like John Hodgman and Jeneane Garofalo.

• Last week, Ryan Murphy’s signature anthology American Horror Story‘s Roanoke edition switched its focus from its faux documentary to the faux behind-the-scenes of a reality show spinoff, and delivered on some genuine fright (in a manner that Hotel strained for all last season). We’ll see where they go tonight on FX.
• The Cubbies try to even the series against the Indians as in 3-7 days some team will end a streak that spans some septuagenarian’s lives. It’s safe to say there’s no one on earth who remembers the 1908 champion Chicago squad, who were led by Frank Chance and Mr. Burns’ favorite hurler, Mordecai “Three Finger” Brown.
• The investigation heats up on Frequency as, with four episodes, this is a good time to binge and catch up on this excellent CW supernatural mystery.
