We here at Screen Scholars have been hearing that it’s National Lazy Day, but we don’t really want to look it up. We don’t know, whatever! Here’s some shows. Maybe you’ll watch them or something.
NAVANI’S PICK:
Mr. Robot [USA, 10p]
Does everyone have the same idea that Elliott is locked up in a psych ward and we are ready for him to get back into the real world or is that just me?
JASON’S PICK:
Whose Line Is It Anyway? [The CW, 9p]
Loved this back in the UK/Clive Anderson days, but haven’t seen this classic improv “game show” (in the loosest sense of the name) since sometime in the 1990s. However, the indomitable Rachel Bloom, the titular Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, may change that with her guest spot.
KATHERINE’S PICK:
Fresh Off the Boat [ABC, 8p]
It’s all repeats tonight, as NBC continues its Olympic coverage (with Women’s Volleyball). Fresh Off the Boat’s third season won’t air until October, but if you’ve missed the funny, touching ‘90s sitcom about a Chinese family in Florida, this is a great time to catch up. All hail Constance Wu.
