There’s a lot of shows for a Summer’s night tonight, and if you had to catch ’em all, you’d be out of luck, but thankfully you can pick & choose (i see you). and here’s some of what we find most intriguing for before Munchlax turns to Snorelax.
Olympics Trials: Women’s Gymnastics [NBC, 8:30p]
Let’s not kid ourselves: This year we’re about swimming, women’s soccer, and women’s gymnastics. Let’s watch our path to glory from the very beginning.
Preacher [AMC, 9p]
After last week’s episode things have really gotten off to the races on the little town of annville. With only a few episodes left in the season expect the fireworks to continue. And we still are all wondering what Odin Quinncannon is up to.
ALSO ON TAP TONIGHT:
- The Sunday night game shows have been a blast, with hosts Harvey, Strahan, and Baldwin all at their best – and that’s not to mention MVP player Sherri Shepherd. This week’s $100,000 Pyramid and Match Game includes everyone from Snoop Dogg to Pete Wentz to Martha Stewart, along with the latter’s mainstays, Tituss Burgess and Rosie O’Donnell.
- If you haven’t seen Marcella, check it out, but the latest version of that show’s creator’s most enduring creations, Broen, this one the UK’s The Tunnel, is also excellent and on PBS tonight after Endeavour brings us the latest adventures of Young Inspector Morse.
- As usual, Jim’s plans go awry on TV Land’s The Jim Gaffigan Show, but this misadventure is spaced over three weeks of episodes. Tonight’s part one.
- If you love reality that’s not really real, there’s the return of those who embrace all that’s modern, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and those who very much do not, Return to Amish (nee Breaking Amish).
