There’s not much in original programming — outside of Outlander — so our thoughts have turned to whether it’s safe to go back into the water, whether it’s worth it to take one’s chances in (or outside) the dating pool, or whether baseball can still be fun.
No Strings Attached [E!, 7p]
The classic friends become lovers become in love tale with the quirky cuteness of Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman that I can’t help but watch whenever it’s on TV. Perfect for lazy Saturday night lounging and wondering if you friendzoned the wrong person.
Jaws Marathon [AMC, starting at 6p]
As we all get set for beach season, AMC helpfully adds to the sense of creeping fear as its airing all four of the Jaws movies tonight. Whether you want to revel in the 1975 classic which is rightfully considered one of the best action films of all time, or want to bask in the ridiculousness of its three, gradually more silly, sequels, ending on the absurdity of Jaws: The Revenge.
MLB Baseball: Yankees at Orioles [Fox, 7 p]
I mean, if we’re being honest, it’s hard to resist my home team against its rival, which is supposedly my home team now (it’s not; death before dishonor!) Rest assured that during one commercial break I’ll complain that the condos are blocking my view of Baltimore’s beautiful Bromo Seltzer Tower; during the seventh-inning stretch it’s time to crank “Thank God I’m A Country Boy” and make an orange crush.
