March Madness continues to rumble, as viewers like you, and editors like us, make the difficult decision of which shows we love more. Bob’s Burgers learned how sweet it is to be loved as the top 16, winning 100 percent of its vote against The Grinder. Orange Is The New Black is also a universally preferred show, at least when paired against Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, as is Top Chef, which defeated Bravo peer The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, which topped Today‘s fourth hour with Kathy Lee and Hoda.
Most of the matches were won by wide margins. Better Call Saul vs. Scandal was an exception (and an upset), winning with 57 percent of the vote. Blackish vs. Fresh Off the Boat was a “close” winner, again with 57 percent. Also “tight,” when considering that most winners came in at 85 percent, on average, was Brooklyn Nine-Nine, defeating Superstore at 66 percent.
Shows coming in with 85 percent of the vote include Last Week Tonight with Jon Oliver, Master of None, Orphan Black, Party Down, and New Girl. Broad City won with 83 percent, defeating Awkward.
As the shows fall into place, we see thrilling match ups. Master of None, with only one season released late last year, will face the short-lived but beloved Party Down. Top Chef, a high-brow reality show, will face Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, a new late night show hosted by a high-brow woman (who loves to cook).
Come back Saturday and find out which shows are the Scholars’ Elite Eight.
