We’ve got a full slate of shows tonight, including the return of an ABC Family show on the network’s new name Freeform, plus the Netflix debut of a doc about the rise of Atlanta as a hip-hop Mecca.
The Real O’Neals [ABC, 8:30p]
The adults are a mess, but Jimmy wants Kenny to try online dating. It’s refreshing to see the dumb, meathead older brother support his recently-out little brother.
Fresh Off the Boat [ABC, 8p]
A chili cook-off, and a chilly standoff between Jessica and the family of one of Evan’s schoolmates who uninvited him to a birthday party.
The Art of Organized Noize [Netflix, midnight]
20 years ago Atlanta’s hip-hop scene became a huge influence on the genre. This documentary tells the story of Rico Wade, Sleepy Brown and Ray Murray — the producers responsible for sculpting the sound of groups like Outkast and Goodie Mob and putting ATL on the map.
