Latin music awards, fashion marathons, the apocalypse, and a loaded line-up of critically acclaimed shows in exotic locations from Bakersfield to Shondaland — it’s a Thursday.
You, Me and the Apocalypse [NBC, 8p]
I’m still not sold on this, but Ariel’s going to discover the U.S. Government’s biggest secret. And what could that be now that the world has ended?!
Premio Lo Nuestro [Univision, 8p]
Music award shows continue this week with Lo Premios highlighting the best Latin artists of the year. I’m looking forward to Pitbull and Marc Anthony performances along with seeing if Romeo Santos will get all seven of the awards he is nominated for, swoon.
Project Runway All-Stars Marathon [Lifetime, 8p]
If you missed the beginning of this fifth go-around of the Project Runway second chance offshoot, tonight’s your chance to catch up. While there’s a few odd choices, there’s also the effervescent and meticulous Kini, the determined visionary (and former champion) Dom, and kindly German iconoclast Fade — also batshit crazy Ken and catty head scratcher Mitchell.
ALSO ON TAP TONIGHT:
- Last week, FX’s Baskets hit its high points on a confessional, affecting Easter episode (airing before Lent, even) as Chip and his mother both showed ample vulnerability as a brunch devolved into somber introspection. This week portends even more absurdity tinged with genuine emotion as twin brother Dale leaves his kids in Chip’s care.
- Shondaland had a solid first week of 2016, and, as always, the action builds this week on ABC with Grey’s Anatomy, then Scandal, followed of course by How to Get Away with Murder.
- For well-received sci-fi, there’s USA’s Colony and The CW’s The 100.
- If American Crime Story has whetted your appetite for Kardashians and have fallen behind with their adult activities, E! features a preview of the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
